Hello, my name is Marta and I created The Women Gallery as a way of cataloging art by and about women, by artist, epoch and style. The Women Gallery started as a blog in 2012.

As an artist, I wanted to have one place where I could refer to and study the artworks that fascinated me and to help me understand my own place in the art world.

Today, I continue to research and study women artists and women as the subject of art (mostly painting and photography) and share them on this site for everyone to learn from and enjoy.

It is my wish that you travel through the galleries with enthusiasm, and that together we can celebrate and dignify the work of these artists.
